Usage Data Formats enable users to define the ability to use Data Formats. Data Formats are controlled in this order and hierarchy:
Report and Language
Language
Report
No selection for Language or Report
No selection for Usage Data Format. If so, the system will check the Lasernet Setup settings. If no Data Formats are selected, all formats will be ISO.

When you enter Usage Data Formats for the first time, the form will be empty, but a Suggest button is available, which will provide two records: one for Date and one for Decimal (Number formats). This will be in EU format.

A default format will always be available.
You can add your Date or Decimal formats either for Language or at report level. To have your default formats in ISO or US, you can edit the records to meet your requirements.

Usage Data Formants in Document Layout
Users can control the Data formats of the extra data added within Document Layout.
Prerequisites
The report in report selection is enabled.
A Lasernet Form.
Grab mode is enabled on your Lasernet server.
Steps
Sign in to Business Central.
From the top ribbon, select Lasernet Document Management > Setup > Document Layout.

Click the New button to add a new Document Layout.
In this example, we will use the Sales Order Confirmation. If you already have a Document Layout for the Sales Order, go to step 6.
Fill out the header section.

Click Suggest from the top menu.

Ensure that you select the Sales Line record.

Within the Fields section, add a new record and add Field No. 10.

Select the ISO (6) format in the Default Format Id dropdown list.

Close all forms and navigate to a Sales order where an item contains a picture. Print it to Lasernet.
The next time you print the report, the field with the right format in the XML file that is sent to the Lasernet Server will be visible.

Language
It is also possible to control the field based on a language.
Scenario: A special format is needed only when the report is in Danish.
To control the language, follow these steps:
Select Manage within the Field section and then choose Field Formats per Language.

Click the Language Code dropdown menu and select a language from the list.
