Autoform DM Upload Form in Dynamics 365

A new feature called Upload has been introduced. The following options are included:

• Uploading documents with predefined content-dependent metadata.

• Data entry management (selection from lists, native enumerators, data types, and data selected by Queries)

• Drag and drop feature for file upload

Documents and files can be uploaded using either the Browse or the Drag and drop features. Only one file can be uploaded at a time, as the upload uses a unique set of metadata and a combination of Key values.

If a user drags and drops multiple files at once or repeats the drag and drop process, the system will only accept the last file.

The PARAMETERS section of the Autoform DM upload application dialog shows the keys that are marked as Visible. Non-editable keys are locked, and Mandatory keys are highlighted.

If any keys are mapped to the File name, the value is applied, and then the user can either drag and drop the file or use Browse.

File types allowed are restricted to the files managed in the Autoform DM upload configuration.

Running an Autoform DM Upload Type Application

The Autoform DM Upload type application can be run from:

• Autoform DM application form, Run function. Default values are applied with configured key mappings.

• The Main menu, when the Menu location field is configured on the application. Default values are applied with configured key mappings.

• A form that includes a configured Form link. Form link key mapping is applied for the document upload default values.

• Autoform DM documents (Search application execution), Upload.
