    Article summary

If a Lasernet replacement for an SSRS report is tested, a tester may get a Fail result, even after no changes have been made to the report. For example, the RecIds are different on the temporary tables and the PurchPurchaseOrderReplacement, as these values are different each time the report is run. These elements can be skipped during test runs to avoid confusion.

In addition to RecIds on temporary tables, a tester may also want to skip validation on other specific elements (for example, current date, created date, etc).

Elements can be skipped for testing by marking the element as Skip testing by navigating to Lasernet > Common > Reports, selecting the Lasernet report and then clicking Structure, selecting the field and setting Skip testing to Yes.

You can also skip elements by using the Log details form.

The Log details form can be opened by navigating to:

    • Lasernet > Test and performance suite > Test > Test checkpoint > Log FastTab > Log details icon

    • Lasernet > Test and performance suite > Test > Test results > Log FastTab > Log detailsimage (48)(3)

The Skip all button can be used to set Skip testing to Yes on all elements in the list. The Unskip all button can be used to set Skip testing to No on all elements in the list. Remove duplicates removes duplicates from the LACTestException table (across companies) that are not restricted but might affect future version upgrades.
