    Sign In to the Lasernet Administration Tool

    To use the Lasernet administration tool, you must navigate to it in a web browser and then log in.

    Lasernet Config Server includes the following Lasernet administration tools:

    • Manage. This is a new, modern, streamlined, and intuitive user experience for Lasernet administrators. All aspects of Lasernet administration (including environment management, user management, and licensing) are available, in addition to the ability to view Lasernet logs and manage paused and scheduled jobs.

    • The Lasernet Config web app. This is the legacy web app for Lasernet administrators. The Lasernet Config web app will be deprecated in a future version of Lasernet Core.

    Go to Manage

    To access Manage, go to the following location in a web browser:

    https://<hostname>:<port number>/lasernet/manage

    Appropriately substitute <hostname> (and <port number> if used). If the Config Server is running on its default port (443), you can omit the port number. For example, if the web browser and Lasernet Config Server are running on the same server, and Lasernet Config Server is running on its default port, you would go to: https://localhost/lasernet/manage

    Quick Start

    The Lasernet system created by the quick start installation and setup process supports only accessing Manage from a web browser on the Config Server server. The <hostname> part of the URL must be localhost.

    Full Installation and Setup Process

    The Lasernet system created by the full installation and setup process supports accessing Manage from web browsers on other computers. The <hostname> part of the URL must be the Lasernet Config server’s host name.

    To enable access from other computers, you must specify appropriate allowed origins (CORS) when you configure the Lasernet Config server.

    Note

    The Lasernet Config web app was provided with earlier versions of Lasernet. It is a legacy web app and will be deprecated in a future version of Lasernet Core.

    To access the Lasernet Config web app, go to the following location in a web browser:

    https://<hostname>:<port number>/lasernet/config

    Sign In

    At the Lasernet Config Sign in page, enter the correct credentials and then click Log in.

    Post-Install First-Time Admin Sign-In Procedure

    After you install Lasernet Config Server, it is configured with only one user (admin), for whom you have to set a password for when you first sign in to the Lasernet Config app.

    After you navigate to the Lasernet Config Server web app, enter the following credentials:

    • Username: admin

    • Leave the Password blank.

    After you click Log in, use the Change your password page to set a secure password for the admin user:

    1. Leave Current Password blank.

    2. Enter a secure password into the New Password and Confirm Password boxes.

    3. Click Change Password. Your new password is saved and you are logged into Lasernet Config.
