    Introduction

A Print button can be used to fulfill a range of functions, much like macros in Microsoft Word or Excel. This is achieved by defining the logic that should be used for a Print button. An end user can then initiate that logic by clicking a Print button for the report. Print buttons can be used for Lasernet reports and SSRS reports.

Security restrictions can also be placed on Print buttons so that they only appear for specific reports, report groups, specific users, or user groups. Print buttons can be placed on the dialog, journal, or both.

The Print buttons functionality can be set up in the Print buttons module.

    Why Use Print Buttons

Lasernet Print buttons enable the configuration of a one-click button with pre-set settings or a suite of settings, which removes the need for the user to repeatedly select the required options when printing. This ensures that the end user selects a valid destination (such as the correct printer) and makes it much easier to reselect.

    Control Different Designs

You can also control different settings, such as Force rerun, Overlay instruction, Attachments instruction, File format, Language, and using the Review before sending functionality.

    Benefits

    • Reduce the number of clicks needed to generate a report.

    • Reduce human error by simplifying the process.
