Lasernet Keep Compatibility Matrices

Lasernet Keep's support for each version of its prerequisite software aligns with vendor support (EOL) for the software. Support for prerequisite software also depends on which versions of the software Keep has been tested with.

This page contains matrices that indicate which versions of prerequisite software are supported for each Keep version. Unless stated otherwise, we recommend installing the latest supported software.

This page also describes which types of API Keep provides at each version, and the compatibility of Keep versions with the Keep Upload and DM Upload modules in Lasernet versions.

Operating System

¹ Windows Server 2012 R2 Lifecycle – Extended support ended 10th October 2023.

² Windows Server 2016 – Extended support ends 10th January 2027.

³ Windows Server 2019 – Extended support ends 9th January 2029.

⁴ Windows Server 2022 – Extended support ends 14th October 2031.

Java Runtime Environment (JRE) – Server Installer

To install Keep server software, a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) must be installed on the server. The installer runs on this JRE, not the Keep software itself.

Any (Oracle or non-Oracle) Java 1.8 or later JRE is supported. Keep has been tested with the Adoptium 1.8 JRE but all non-Oracle JREs are compatible.

Web Browser

The Keep web application must be used only with a supported browser.

We recommend using Microsoft SQL Server where possible.

Note

We support Oracle database releases that are still within their support lifetime, but do not actively test or support Innovation Releases (such as 21c) with Keep. We only support the use of Oracle LTRs (Long Term Releases) with Keep.

APIs

¹ By default, WebServices v2 and v2.1 are not enabled. They can be enabled by modifying the relevant configuration flags in the node.properties file. However, these APIs will be retired, so it is important to plan an orderly migration from these APIs to alternative Formpipe APIs and software capabilities.

Lasernet Compatibility

Lasernet includes a Keep Upload or DM Upload module.
