Compatibility Warning

The Lasernet Connectors for Microsoft Dynamics 365 are currently not compatible with Lasernet Core 11. We are working towards launching these two products together, but until then, current customers and partners with the Dynamics 365 connectors should continue to use Lasernet Core 10.

Note

Lasernet Core 11 delivers significant advancements in several key areas.

Because of the underlying architectural changes in Lasernet Core 11, if you are considering upgrading from Lasernet Core 10, we recommend that you:

• Thoroughly review the release notes for this and previous Lasernet Core 11 releases.

• Thoroughly review Lasernet Core 11 documentation.

• Fully test your configuration.

• Reach out to your technical team for support.

This note does not apply to the Lasernet Connectors for Microsoft Dynamics 365, which must continue to use Lasernet Core 10.

This is a beta release. The content of these release notes is subject to change until the final release of this software.

This beta release should not be used in production environments.

As this is a beta release, minor issues might exist in the software. Although beta releases are not officially supported, you can submit error reports to Lasernet Support.

Maintenance Report

This section briefly describes the new features, enhancements, and fixes in Lasernet Core 11.1 Beta 1.

Lasernet Rebranding

The following parts of Lasernet Core have been updated to use the new Lasernet Group icon, color scheme, and name:

• Installers

• Installation and data directories

• Application splash screens

• The Connect to Lasernet window

• The Manage administration tool for Lasernet Core

• The About window for each application

Specify Chart Colors in Data

Lasernet Core can use colors specified by line items in incoming data to format the relevant bars in bar charts, segments in pie charts, and so on. This feature guarantees consistent chart item coloring between output documents.

Manage User Interface Improvements

To increase ease of use, the menu navigation structure and the page structure in the Manage administration tool have been improved. The application menu is easier to navigate, and each application area now has its own page rather than a tab on a shared page.

Colored highlights and new icons have been added to the Logs page to make Lasernet Core environment log data easier to read.

Also:

• The quick search bar is now in the header bar.

• Button positions have changed on the Job Status page.

Upgrade from Earlier Versions of Lasernet

Your current Lasernet Core version determines how you upgrade to Lasernet Core 11.1:

• If your current version is Lasernet Core 10 or earlier: Refer to the Lasernet Core 11 Migration Guide.

• If your current version is Lasernet Core 11.0: Refer to Upgrade from Lasernet Core 11.0 to Lasernet Core 11.1.
