Lasernet Compatibility Matrix

Lasernet's support for each version of its prerequisite software aligns with vendor support (EOL) for the software. Support for prerequisite software also depends on which versions of the software Formpipe has tested Lasernet with.

This page contains matrices that indicate which versions of prerequisite software are supported for each Lasernet version. Unless stated otherwise, Formpipe recommends that you install the latest supported software.

Operating System

¹ Windows Server 2012 R2 Lifecycle – Extended support ended 10th October 2023.

² Windows 8.1 Lifecycle – Extended support ended 10th January 2023.

Database

¹ SQL Server 2014 Lifecycle – Extended support ended 7th September 2024.

² SQL Server 2016 Lifecycle – Extended support ends 14th July 2026.

Lasernet automatically installs Microsoft SQL Server 2017 LocalDB. By default, Lasernet Config 10 server stores configurations, revisions, and deployment history log there. However, to achieve the best usability, performance, and scalability in production enterprise environments, use a supported standalone Microsoft SQL Server installation.

Oracle database systems are not supported.

Microsoft OLE DB Driver

¹ From Lasernet 10.6 to 10.8, version 18.6.7 is required due to a vulnerability (CVE-2023-38169) in earlier versions of Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL Server.

² From Lasernet 10.9, version 18.7.2 is required due to a vulnerability (CVE-2024-29985) in earlier versions of Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL Server. To maximize system security, upgrade to Lasernet 10.9 (which will install Microsoft OLE DB Driver 18.7.2).
