    Article summary

The sample setup applies to the following:

    • The Lasernet Cloud Print Connector version 1.2

    • JobInfo on the Server Properties set to EnableLNEMFPrinting = Yes

Use the following step-by-step instructions along with our Lasernet Default Configuration as an example of setting up Lasernet Cloud Print.

    Prerequisites:

    • An Azure Service Bus type Connection in Lasernet > Administration > Connections that will be used for cloud printing.

    • An Azure Storage type Connection in Lasernet > Administration > Connections that will be used for cloud printing.

    Steps

    1. Open Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and select the Azure Service Bus and Azure Storage Account for Cloud Printing on the Parameters page (Lasernet > Setup > Cloud Print Connector setup > Parameters).

    1. Navigate to Lasernet > Lists > Printers.

    2. Click Download (A), and on the menu that appears, click Download Lasernet Cloud Print Connector (B).

    1. When the download is finished, save the LasernetCloudPrintConnector.exe file on your Print server.

    1. On the Print server, run the LasernetCloudPrintConnector.exe file as administrator.

    1. If the following message appears, click Show more, then click Run anyway.

    1. Follow all the screen prompts to complete the installation.

    1. In the Lasernet Cloud Print application dialog, run the application either as User or as Windows service.

    Note

Remember if you select Windows service, a service user must be applied to the Lasernet Cloud Print Connector service who shall have user privileges to the PC / Server where it is running.

    1. Close the application. A small icon will appear in the lower right-hand corner (you may need to click on the arrow to show the hidden icons) if the User mode is applied.

    1. Navigate to Lasernet > Lists > Printers.

    2. Click Download (A), and on the menu that appears, click Download Lasernet Cloud Print Connector-Configuration (B). This download will create queues and containers in the Azure service bus and Azure storage defined in the Parameters in step 1.

    1. Save the file ConnectorConfiguration.cloudprintconfig on your print server.

    1. Right-click the icon and select Load Configuration-file to open the Lasernet Cloud Print Connector application.

    1. Locate the downloaded configuration file (ConnectorConfiguration.cloudprintconfig), select it, and click Open.

    1. Right-click the icon again and click  Show setup.

    1. Verify that you now have a GUID in the Connector-id field. If you do not have a GUID value, try to reload the configuration file.

    1. Close the application.

    2. Navigate to your Lasernet Server and log in to the Lasernet Developer. Open your configuration.

    3. Navigate to Servers (A), and using the Default server (B), select JobInfos (C) and set global JobInfo EnableLNEMFPrinting to Yes (D).

    1. Open Commands (A), double-click on Lasernet Cloud Print Storage (B), and paste in the connection string for the Cloud Print Azure Storage (C). This is the same Azure storage setup in the Cloud Print Connector Setup Parameters in step 1.

    1. Open Modules (A) and click the Azure Storage Printer output module (B). Click Setup (C) > Connection (D), then select the Azure Storage configured in the previous step from the drop-down (E). Click Ok to close the module.

    1. Within Modules (A), select the Azure Service Bus (Cloud Print) output module (B). Click Setup (C), then paste in the connection string for the cloud print Azure service bus (D). This is the same Azure Service Bus set up in the Prerequisites section of this page.

    1. Set the Entity Path #QueueName# to allow the Lasernet Configuration to dynamically select the Cloud Print Queue from the input job.

    2. Click Commit (A), then click OK (B).

    1. Click Deploy (A), then click OK (B).

    1. Navigate back to Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations > Lasernet > Lists > Printers and click Download Lasernet Cloud Printers.

    1. You should now see your cloud printers.

If you use the default Formpipe Lasernet setup, you should be able to select printing now. If you do not use the default Formpipe Lasernet setup, contact your local Lasernet reseller.
