New Features, Fixes, and Enhancements – Lasernet BC Connector 4.1.2.0

Lasernet BC Connector version 4.1.2.0 is aimed to be a quality update, provided through the following fixes and enhancements.

#338171 - Lasernet Archive is added to Email Show source

Within the email dialog in Show Source, we have added Lasernet Archive as a source link to the links from BC.

#337434 – Lasernet Archive supports Draft Emails

Lasernet now supports Draft Emails. If you open the email dialog and do not wish to send the email immediately, users can click Escape and keep the email as a draft. Lasernet saves the record within the Lasernet Archive. You can then navigate to the Lasernet Archive or BC standard Email Outbox.

#342265 – Print Archive is renamed to Lasernet Archive

We have renamed Print Archive to Lasernet Archive.

#338307 – Change to Lasernet Sales Credit Memo request page

In the previous version, we added more filters to the Sales Invoice request page. These filters have now been added to Sales Credit Memo request page.

#330892 – New report – Sales Document Test

We now have added the Sales Document Test report to the Lasernet Report list.

Note

This report supports Sales Order, Sales Invoice, Sales Credit Memo and Sales Return Order.

#345064 – New report - Purchase Receipt report

We have added the Purchase Receipt report to the Lasernet Report list and have added this design to the Lasernet Configuration package.

We have added the Purchase Return Shipment report to the Lasernet report list and have added this design to the Lasernet Configuration package.

#316705 – Changed the ‘body’ view in Lasernet Archive to HTML instead of the text field

#250627 – Preview screen viewer updated

We have updated our Preview viewer, so it supports portrait and landscape. Now it scales up and down to present the document depending on the layout.

Note

This looks different depending on which browser you are using, for example Chrome vs Edge.

#328683 – Fixed attachments support

Now you can add multiple fixed attachments to a report and control each attachment by Language code. For example, it could be Terms & Conditions in different languages or marketing campaigns, etc.

Fixed attachments can be added within Lasernet Report Setup.

#335466 – Miscellaneous menu added to the navigation bar

#342331 – Added the possibility to select a printer on the request page

Users can now select the printer directly on the Request page when selecting the Lasernet Printer option.

#293807 – Customer Statement - Only create XML files for customers with entries

When printing a Customer Statement from the main Lasernet Request page, we now have the option to filter on Customers with ledger entries only and customers with a balance.

This is useful when users only want to see customers with a balance or entries.

#337372 – When Posting and Printing from Warehouse Shipment, all existing Sales Shipments are printed

This is now corrected so we only print the selected shipments from the Warehouse Shipment.

#337623 – Post & Print Warehouse Shipments that have several Sales Shipments causes an error if no default printer is found

Printing multiple sales shipments from Warehouse Shipments could cause the following error:

#337736 – Custom Fields names are back to Standard field names after upgrade

If you have Custom Field names within Document Layout, the name will be changed back to standard names from the fields.

#338166 – Sales Draft Invoice and Sales ProForma Invoice have no Bill-to Customer [VAT] No. caption

Bill-To Customer VAT No. caption has been added to the two reports:

#338215 – Upgrade process breaks if there are Document Layout Filter entries with no Filter Table No. selected

During an upgrade, you may encounter an error caused by an empty Filter Table no. within Document Layout. This is now fixed.

#340957 – Total Assignable quantity calculation fix

Our Assignable Qty calculation within the total section on our Purchase Document Test report was incorrect. This is now fixed.

#342537 – Report run via Job Queue does not create an archive if specified

If you run a report via Job Queue, the job would be executed correctly and processed through Lasernet, but the PDF was not saved in the Lasernet Archive. This is now fixed.

#342796 – Specifying request page filter longer than 20 characters leads to an inability to run a report

If you type in more than 20 characters within the filter on the Customer Statement Request page, it will show an error such as the following:

The length of the string is 50, but it must be less than or equal to 20 characters. Value: 01121212|01445544|01454545|01905893|01905899|20000

This is now fixed.

#343495 – Added Symbol to the Currency node in XML

We have added the currency symbol into a new tag in the XML file, for example, £.

#344259 – Prevent creating printers with empty ID

Within Lasernet Printers, it was possible to create a new record with an empty value. We have now prevented this.

#345590 – Empty Placeholder Entry Name causes error during attempt to email using Template

Adding an empty record within Lasernet Placeholder caused an error when emailing:

String cannot be of zero length.

Parameter name: oldValue.

This is now fixed.

#347674 – Email template Subject default value

In certain conditions, an Email Template from another language was used if the required language was not found. This is now fixed.

#347676 – Support unicode characters in email template

When using Ukrainian, Japanese, Greek, emoji, or any other Unicode characters in the mail body and subject field, the characters changed after reopening the Email Template page for modification along with the wrong XML file.

#348005 – Additional hooks in the reports for better flexibility (for Developers)

Several new hooks have been added. These can be used to add a dropdown list on the Lasernet Request page along with the selected value to the report/XML file that is going to the Lasernet server.

#348731 – Changes to Lasernet Export/Import Attachments setup

We have improved our export/import framework, so that it now includes the new function Fixed Attachments.

#337912 – Report Selections Export/Import correction

Upon importing Report Selections, the following error might appear:

Report XXX uses the RDLC (built-in) which cannot be used as an email body.

This was due to a missing value for the field Email Body Layout Code, remaining empty upon import.

This is now fixed.
