Introduction

The Lasernet FO Connector for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations is an integrated solution that enables the Lasernet functionality for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.

This guide describes the steps required to perform an upgrade from Lasernet 9 to Lasernet 10 for customers using the Lasernet FO Connector.

If you are upgrading from Lasernet 8 to Lasernet 9 or 10, refer to this article.

The following prerequisites are necessary to follow this upgrade guide:

• The Lasernet 9 default configuration for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations was used for the Lasernet 9 configuration.

• Formpipe is not hosting your Lasernet server.

The upgrade process can be summarised as follows:

1. Export objects from Lasernet 9 Test configuration.

2. Install Lasernet 10 and apply demo license.

3. Turn off Lasernet 9 services.

4. Turn on Lasernet 10 services.

5. Import the Lasernet 10 default configuration for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations for use as a new Test configuration.

6. Import Lasernet 9 objects into Lasernet 10 default configuration.

7. Perform testing to ensure reports are behaving as expected.

8. Perform the above steps for the Prod configuration.

9. Contact the licensing team to deactivate the customer’s Lasernet 9 license and to provide a new Lasernet 10 license.

10. Deactivate the demo licenses and activate the customer’s Lasernet 10 licenses.

11. Disable Lasernet 9 services.
