Form Links (Archive Links for Autoform DM)

Introduction

Autoform DM applications are used within what are normally referred to as form links.

The integration provides the option to dynamically add a Form Links button to any form within Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. This is done using runtime, so no code is required. It also provides the option to link the search field in Autoform DM with fields/data in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.

This indirectly assists with security because it is possible to add a button to which only specific users have access in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.

Key Mapping

The search fields are mapped either through the data sources (tables) and fields located in the Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations form or by using static values and/or predefined functions.

The following options are available:

1. New: Creates a new record ready for configuration. We recommend this option if you have several keys that you do not want to map.

2. Load all keys: Loads all keys from Autoform DM keys for which the Search checkbox is selected.

3. Key: Select the Serch checkbox for the Autoform DM keys.

4. Type: Select one of the following options:

• Field value – You have to map the table and field name.

• Fixed value – You have to specify the expected value from Autoform DM. For example, Sales, Purchase, Transport.

• Current Company – Automatically sets in the company.

• Current user – Automatically sets in the current user.
