Data Entities

Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations provides a functionality called Data entities. This feature can be used to export and import your Lasernet configuration. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to System administration > Workspaces > Data management > Import/Export > Framework parameters.

2. On the Data import/export framework parameters page, open the Entity settings tab and click the Refresh entity list button.

3. To change the entity structure, navigate back to the Data management page, and click Data entities under the Import/Export group. On the Target entities page that opens, type 'Lasernet' in the search field.

4. The structure must be modified for each entity. To this end, select an entity in the Target entities list, and click the Entity structure button available on the top menu of the page.

5. As a result, a page presenting that entity structure opens. Click the Edit button and clear both check boxes for this entity: Run business validations and Run business logic in insert or update method.

6. Once you are done modifying a structure for each entity from the Target entities list, create either an import or an export job by navigating back to the Data management page, and clicking Export under the Import/Export group.

Note

The order of entities is important when you want to import them once again.

The Standard view is deprecated by Microsoft ®. Therefore, switch to the Enhanced view mode.
