The Custom Ports functionality enables users to specify a name for a destination type (such as FTFP Formpipe). Together with the File Formats feature (see the File Formats section of this guide) you can specify the exact file type you wish to upload to your FTP Formpipe destination.
To access the Custom Ports page, follow these steps:
Sign in to Business Central and select Lasernet Document Management from the drop-down menu. Alternatively, you can search for the Lasernet Document Management page.
Select the Custom Ports tile.

The Custom Ports page is displayed:

You can use this information on the Lasernet server to create the right document type and connection to distribute the document.
Example
In the following example, we have created a Custom Port called FTPFP in the File Format type .edi:
On the Lasernet server, we create the EDI file and then upload it via our FTP module when this option is selected in either the Request page or via Predefined Destinations.
