Additional Lasernet Environment Configuration (Grab Mode, Logging, JobInfos)
For each Lasernet environment, decide whether it is necessary to enable the following features:
Grab mode
A grab file is a capture of a Lasernet job’s data at a specific point during the processing of that job by a Lasernet environment. For example, a grab file could be captured after an input module in a Lasernet workflow has read a received input file.
Grab files can serve as representative input data files that you can design forms against. They can also act as data captures that help you to debug Lasernet workflows.
If grab mode is turned on, a Lasernet environment will create grab files.
Logging
A Lasernet environment can generate log messages that describe the status of the Lasernet environment itself, describe the status of the jobs it processes, and capture any errors that the Lasernet environment encounters.
These features can be enabled now. Alternatively, you can enable or turn them off later. Because enabling these features is not related only to the initial system setup process, more information and instructions are provided in the Lasernet Administration Guide:
Also, the configuration that a Lasernet environment runs might rely on JobInfos that are defined in the Config Server rather than in the Lasernet configuration. To set up these JobInfos, see Add Config Server JobInfos.
Next Steps
The next step of the Lasernet 11 installation and setup process is to deploy a Lasernet configuration to each Lasernet environment.
